Best Time to Move in Cyprus (and What to Avoid)

Time of year, day of week and even hour of day all change what your move costs and how long it takes in Cyprus.

01Best season: October to April

Cooler weather means faster, safer carrying and no heatstroke risk. Movers also have more availability outside summer peak.

02What to avoid: July & August

35–40°C in Paphos and Limassol means slower work, more breaks (legally required) and higher risk of damage to candles, vinyl, electronics. If you must — book the very first slot of the day, 6–7 AM.

03Best day: Tuesday or Wednesday

Friday and the last weekend of the month are the busiest 30% of moves. Mid-week, mid-month is reliably cheaper and more flexible.

04Best hour: early morning

Start at 7–8 AM. You finish before lunch, beat the heat, and have the whole afternoon to unpack.

05Public holidays — book 3+ weeks ahead

Cyprus public holidays and Orthodox Easter wipe out most slots. Plan early or shift dates by a week.

Key takeaway

Cool month, mid-week, early morning. That single combination saves money AND back pain.
